CIVILIAN TRIALS FOR TERRORISTS
Recently, Congress voted down a bi-partisan bill that would have ensured that the terrorists who brought death and destruction to our homeland on September 11, 2001 would be tried as war criminals in military courts, not as common criminals tried in civilian courts with full Constitutional protections on American soil. The Obama administration has not been truthful with the public about the risks associated with bringing these cases in federal court, where critical evidence will be excluded, classified intelligence will be made available to our enemies, foreign counterterrorism partners will be exposed and the “mastermind of 9/11″ will be allowed to mock his victims just blocks from where they died. On November 13, 2009 Attorney General Eric Holder announced that the 9/11 terrorist masterminds would receive a civilian trial in New York City, mere blocks away from the atrocity they committed. GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE
The so-called man-made global warming crisis is a fraud. The extent of the fraud became apparent recently when the emails of the Climate Research Center of the University of East Anglia were hacked and revealed to the world. The famous “hockey stick” temperature curve that “proved” the global warming phenomenon turned out to be a fake produced by manipulating the data. Is Obama Poised to Cede US Sovereignty?
The Cap and Trade bill passed by Congress (HR2454) to combat imaginary global warming would steal our prosperity. A study by the National Association of Manufacturers (link) estimated that increases to manufacturing costs would add $730 to $1,248 to the annual expenses of every family in America. The cost of gasoline will increase by 20% to 28% (on top of all of the other increases), natural gas by 20% to 26%, and electricity by 50%.
If you are a homeowner, you will really feel the pain. The federal government will mandate an immediate increase in energy efficiency requirements by 30%. This will rise to 50% by 2014 and will increase to 75% by 2029. These mandates will apply to all new homes and whenever a substantial renovation is accomplished. The key question for most of us is going to be the definition of “substantial” when we try to get a permit for a remodel.
We will also be required to obtain an energy efficiency label for our homes similar to the label on our appliances whenever there is a public transaction regarding our homes. These transactions would include home inspections, rental, liens, and changes in ownership. Can anyone guess what your home energy audit will cost?

ARE THE AIRLINES NEXT?
On November 12 Ray LaHood, the US Transportation Secretary said that the government will provide a “roadmap” for the aviation industry within a year. LaHood criticised the US aviation industry for being incompetent and said a board of experts will be formed to outline ways in which it can work its way back to health. Airline labour unions had urged the government and industry to talk collectively about continuing job losses, airline bankruptcies and poor finances. Can we expect an American Aeroflot??
