Call To Action – Help Defend Colorado from Obama Care!!!

Help defend Colorado from ObamaCare, by helping to put the RIGHT TO HEALTH CARE CHOICE initiative on the November ballot!

This initiative does not repeal the health care bill passed by Congress, and takes nothing away from those who want to be in government-run health care.  This ballot initiative will allow all Coloradans theCHOICE to OPT OUT if so desired and not be required to purchase health insurance, and would allow Coloradans the OPTION to pay their health care provider directly.

Statewide, we need to collect 120,000 signature by July 1, 2010 to get this initiative on the ballot, to give Colorado voters the opportunity to vote on CHOICE.  Time is of the essence!  This is an effort to protect freedom that requires ordinary citizens to act.  It’s easy to do.  Get involved now. You can help Teller County collect 5,000 signatures towards the statewide goal of 120,000!!!

There are many opportunities to help:

  • circulate petitions at events, churches, clubs, at work, through your neighborhood, etc.
  • help coordinate and track volunteers and completed petitions
  • urge your Republican or Democrat precinct leaders to support and circulate the petitions, too
  • sign the petition and urge your friends and family to do the same!
  • spread the word – we want to give the CHOICE back to Colorado – educate people against media bias
  • engage friends in neighboring counties to support this drive

The TELLER TEA PARTY has copies of the petition, and we will be receiving more – we are looking for your help in getting as many signatures on the petitions as we possibly can.

If you volunteer to be a petition circulator, (1) you must wear a badge to identify yourself,  (2) you will need to personally witness each signature on the petition (only Colorado registered voters can sign the petition), and
(3) you will need to get your completed petition notarized before turning it in.
Most banks offer notary service for free or a nominal charge.

This petition is what YOU can do right now to stop America’s progression into socialized medicine. It’s time for Colorado conservatives to lead the country off the path toward serfdom and back to our founding principles of individual rights and freedom.

If you care about doing all we can to stop socialized medicine and the collapse of American principles, please help us collect the 120,000 signatures statewide, that we need to get this initiative before the voters.

When you’re sitting with your grandchildren and they ask you what YOU did back in 2010 to save America from socialism, what stories will you have?

PLEASE EMAIL TELLERTEAPARTY@GMAIL.COM TO GET STARTED!!!!

Help Defend Colorado From ObamaCare

March 21st, 2010 | by admin |

Statement by Independence Institute President Jon Caldara

On Sunday night the US House of Representatives passed what we call “Obama-care.” This is one of the darkest moments in American history. The federal government has taken a large step towards control of our healthcare, and with it control of our very bodies. The federal government is taking away our decisions over health insurance and, unprecedented in history, forcing citizens to purchase private products, ultimately under penalty of incarceration.

We at the Independence Institute refuse to watch this atrocity corrode the quality of healthcare in Colorado. For months we have been at work bringing forward an amendment to the Colorado Constitution to preserve as a basic human right our “Right to Health Care Choice.” It is my goal to make Colorado a sanctuary state for quality health care.
