When: May 26th, 7pm
Where: Teller County Liberty Bell Headquarters, Woodland Park, CO
We will be conducting a general meeting to elect nominees to the available Steering Committee position. Each nominee will have the opportunity to address the voting members and express why they want to achieve the position and the value they will be able to add.
To become a Voting Member please click here and view the bylaws and submit your verbal agreement as outlined in the bylaws to tellerteaparty@gmail.com
I’ve been a “bleeding heart” ( to use Cato’s Michael Tanner’s phrase ) libertarian activist for more than a decade . I’d like to continue to participate with the Teller Tea Party to further that message of individual freedom and responsibility which you will find expressed strongly on my website .
However , I have problems with all but the first item of your “verbal agreement” . It has the tone very much of submission to a dictatorially run cell .
Point 2 makes it sound like I may be assigned tasks whether or not I volunteer or agree with them .
Point 3 simply makes no sense . I have lots of agendas most of which have nothing to do with the TTP . More cogently , my allegiance is to underlying principles , historically perhaps best and most succinctly expressed in the founding documents of our USA . My allegiance , and indeed interest in the TTP is only to the extent that it also seeks to further those principles .
Point 4 seems picayune and reflecting some experience of internal discord . Again , it has nothing to do with basic principles . It’s like saying “I agree not to be an ass” . And that’s not not a trait signing a statement will affect in any way .
So , perhaps I will attend the May 26 meeting as an interested observer , but I can’t submit to your demands for allegiance to the TTP , per se rather than its putative underlying principles , required for voting membership .

TURNING THOUGHTS INTO COMPUTATIONS
I reserve the right to post all communications I receive or generate to CoSy website for further reflection .
@Bob Your points are well made and certainly were heavily discussed at the origination of creating a more formal system to thwart divisive action within the committee leaving the TTP or tea party movement crippled. It is something I can certainly discuss this evening at a committee meeting. I could respond with the comment showing as from the “Teller Tea Party Committee” with carefully worded diction to sound as some corporate or politically crafted response. However, the TTP Committee is a group of Individuals that recently instilled a more formal structure because we had recently had issues with a people on the committee deciding to do some things that impacted the whole TTP movement and almost broke the entire thing down which would not have been good for our community and having a platform for individuals to come together and educate, debate, and liberate. The El Paso County Tea Party had the same thing occur on the 15th of April. They took our model and set it up to prevent people coming in and then acting on their own selfish agenda outside of the main focus of the movement.
Both instances occurred because individuals who were involved in committee positions had a candidate and or party agendas and sought to impose that agenda at all costs and try to sway the whole movement based on bias.
I as well am a Constitutionalist and if I was to claim a political ideology it would be Libertarian and would lean more towards conservatism than liberalism.
The TTP is solely focused on the Constitution and the principals it enshrines. Those principals are solidified in the Individual and not the collective. Thus why the position of the TTP is not to endorse. It is the duty of those that want to be involved in a decision making role such as on the committee to put out the most accurate information as possible on candidates and politics and provide forums to get the public encouraged in taking the time to read that information to come to their own conclusion on who best represents them and vote accordingly. Especially to revive the Constitution and bring visibility back to its invaluable importance for this nation.
Who is any committee in a Tea Party to dictate which candidates represent every individual? Who is any tea party to claim they represent all the individuals that attend tea parties? I say no committee is as they do not speak for all the individuals, they are in place to help provide a structure to make sure that the information is reaching the people and they have an organized place to come together. The Tea Party is a movement and not a political party, for it to be a political party goes against the grain of its very purpose. Once a political party is established then you are to uphold the party over reason. I am assuming this is where your hesitation derives.
As well, it was discussed that just leaving it at the Constitution there are very liberal interpretations with regard to states rights, federalism, health care as a right etc.
So to answer your question, the statement is declaring that your not joining to try and sway people to be a staunch Republican upholding the party over the Constitution and principals. Your not a Democrat seeking to do the same. That the TTP will stay in the focus of what the Tea Party is and that your not going to come and try to take over to push an agenda that goes against the essence of the tea party or the power of the individual.
If it is the case where someone is found to be doing so, it provides us a format to remove that individual from any responsibility or influence within the tea party movement.
In conclusion, I am glad you brought forward your concerns and I hope I was able to help clarify and look forward to seeing you at the meeting. I think it is important to have a page on the website dedicated to describing in more detail these items of concern.
This comment does represent discussions within the committee but is not an “official statement” from the Teller Tea Party as I am an individual as are the committee members and I have no authority or right of claim otherwise.

Vice Chair – Teller Tea Party
My name is Jeff Heuermann and I live in Teller County. I am a 13 year veteran of the US military and a Nationalist/Conservative. I know the term nationalist has been given a bad name for many decades but I consider myself a patriot that loves this country and I cannot refer to myself as a Republican, and definitely not a Democrat. A Nationalist, in my view, is that patriot that cares more for his/her country than about the feelings of those who seek to destroy the country with their political correctness and liberal ideals. I am not of the so-called nationalists that spew racist agendas but a nationalist in the purist sense of the term. In other words, I am not a skinhead or racist.
My concern with the TTP is the easily identifiable relationship with the GOP. While I do not hate the GOP it is disconcerting to see GOP affiliation on the TTP website. My concern is the manner in which career politicians change gears or change their colors in effort to appease outside groups in order to gain their support during elections. A close affiliation with any established political organization makes it much more likely the TTP would buy into such efforts, inadvertently. I know there are many honest, conservative GOP members but they should come to the TTP for association and not the other way around. Pressure can be applied to the GOP but not if the TTP is concerned with burning that bridge.
Another concern I have with the TTP is its lack of meetings or events. I have checked the website several times in the past few months only to see an empty page in its “Events” web page. Maybe I have just missed the postings but it seems like the TTP should be doing numerous things to show support for legislation, such as the newly passed Arizona Illegal Immigration law that is currently under attack. Political correctness is the cancer of our society. Those of us that believe illegals from all countries are bad for the US are viewed/called racists or are displaying discriminatory behavior. I personally do not care where an illegal comes from; they should all be mass deported to the country of their origin and unemployed Americans encouraged to apply for the jobs left vacant by the deported illegals. There is no discrimination with that concept and, if there is to those politically correct, so be it. I care about this country more than a parasite draining our economy. There are too many Americans unemployed that could be filling these jobs if illegals were not already in employment. I care about Americans not illegals. Americans should be the top priority of every other American, above those of illegals or citizens of other countries.
I do believe the TTP is an “organization” that can really do some good for the county and I hope I am making the right decision by becoming a member in the hopes of doing constructive, positive things for our area and, obviously, for our country.
Respectfully,
Jeff Heuermann
@Jeff, Thank you for your service and your detailed concerns. There is no relationship with the GOP and we explicitly surrounded debate over the agreement and bylaws based on concerns of the GOP or Good ol’ Boys in Teller infiltrating the Tea Party and trying to convert it to another establishment vehicle.
There are events that the GOP hosts as well as other groups that have been posted to the website. The reason the GOP event was posted is because the Primary candidates will be in attendance. Thus another opportunity to gain more information about our future servants. There is no agenda or purpose beyond that. For instance a regular fundraiser or general gathering for GOP would not make it on the website.
The GOP is a party and there to help support whoever is decided as the primary candidate with an (R) next to it. It will be interesting to see how much the GOP nationally engages in supporting candidates that were not establishment due to the effectiveness of the tea party.
Again I will mention we are getting back on our feet from fending of a bias take over and put in place the agreement and bylaws of people who wish to be on the committee or vote them in to stop such from occurring in the future. It seems there are concerns that needs to be met with more detail on the website which I will address this evening at a meeting and get the information out there so that everyone can be rest assured that the TTP Committee is on the same page with the true intentions of the movement.
As well, please visit the homepage where it lists upcoming events. I realize there is a bug with clicking on the events page that will be fixed. We had planned to have an event this month but it turned out it conflicted with Memorial Day Weekend and availability. We have several planned for the proceeding months and candidate debates. As well, we are working on an event concept that would bring the community together more frequently and opportunities to learn more about each other.
As well, please take notice that we updated with a new website recently and have hosted numerous events drawing people from across the state. Those previous events are not explicitly listed on the website. We can certainly add them as the events page bug is fixed so that future fellow patriots can see the level of participation in the community.
If you still have questions as to the how the TTP views the tea party movement I have attached a personal video where I discuss and the committee members agreed with it.

Vice-Chair Teller Tea Party
Mr. Blough,
Thank you for your comments. I am glad to hear the information concerning the GOP and why some of its events are on the website. I am glad to hear that the TTP is active. I hope to be an active participant within the TTP, maybe speaking, writing for the NL, or whatever needs to be done to help people learn about the political process and its weaknesses.
Again, thank you for your response.
Jeff Heuermann
Mr. Heuermann, I am glad I could help. Indeed there is so much to get done in so little time. Any information, ideas, participation, and donations are greatly welcome as the Republic needs to continue to grow.
We have discussed setting up a column section where people in the community can post their own articles and information on the site as well. Is that something you would be interested in?
Mr. Blough,
I would be interested in writing articles for the column.
Also, as a side note, the Arizona Governor set up a website http://www.http://www.securetheborder.org/ that ask for people to sign a petition to demand the federal government to secure the borders. I would ask all to please visit the site and consider signing the petition…it only ask minimal information and takes approximately 45 seconds to complete. I’m not big on signing the petitions unless it is something important to the country and I think we can all agree that the parasitic nature of illegal immigration IS important. Thanks.
And thanks Mr. Blough for letting me know about the possibility of writing for the column.
Jeff Heuermann
I don’t know if anyone has seen or heard of this program but, it may be worth the effort to vote…
http://republicanwhip.house.gov/YouCut/
Scroll down and vote for the program you think ought to be cut from the federal budget and pass the website to friends. With the liberals running Congress it is doubtful anything will actually get cut but it will definitely show who wants to keep the loose fiscal policies we currently have.
“House Democrats defeated Republicans’ first attempt Thursday to slash a federal spending program based on the results of an online poll.
House Republicans, building on their message of fiscal restraint, have started an anti-spending program called YouCut . The online system will ask Americans to vote every week on one of five programs to cut — from there, Republicans will put the program to a vote. The “winner” of the first round of voting was a $2.5 billion welfare program.
The House defeated the attempt to cut the welfare program by a vote of 240-177. But House Republican Whip Eric Cantor, R-Va., pledged to conduct the poll again and submit a new program for a vote next week. He said 300,000 people have voted so far.”

I’m not sure if anyone has heard of the group Single Global Currency Association or read their 500+ page book “The Single Global Currency” written by Morrison Bonpasse but, I believe it will be the next monumental fight we, as fiscal conservatives and US patriots, will have to fight. President Obama appears to be a globalist by nature and there have already been multiple calls for a global currency or, at the minimum, a new currency to back the debt of the countries of the international system.
The book can be found at:
http://www.amazon.com/Single-Global-Currency-Common-Cents/dp/0977842649/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1274479829&sr=8-1
or by going to the Single Global Currency Association’s website:
http://www.singleglobalcurrency.org/index.html
Here is an interesting article about the Single Global Currency Association advising the G20 about a single global currency and recommending research and planning of the currency:
http://www.prlog.org/10141522-single-global-currency-assn-urges-g20-to-initiate-research-and-planning-for-single-global-currency.html
I know most of us do not have the time to read every book that is introduced that is in conflict with our beliefs; however, this book is an interesting read, although not in a positive light, and sheds light on the ideas and plans the globalists have for the near future.
